John provides critical strategic expertise at the intersection of business, technology, and operations – developing innovative solutions during times of change and transformation where budget, reputation, and performance outcomes are at risk.

John specializes in governance, compliance, and risk management, performing cross-border advisory serves specific to the National Security requirements under Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

He has directed teams and advised clients during all phases of CFIUS preparation, submission, and review. His experience spans multiple critical infrastructure industries in expansive geographic locations. He has provided guidance with pre-filling evaluation and impact studies (operational and economic), enhanced corporate security governance, and comprehensive mitigation, implementation, and assessment models. Representative engagements include acting as an individual and neutral third-party auditor, monitor, and escrow agent, with respect to National Security Agreements, Letters of Assurance, Orders of Divestiture, and government orders establishing mitigation measures.

In addition to M&A, governance, risk, and compliance engagements – John’s diverse background enables him to lead and participate in projects which span various disciplines within the organization, including: leading innovation initiatives across the firm through Innovation Champions Task Force, performing strategic service model assessments to evaluate current market position and new market opportunities through the Transformation and Growth Practice, leading training and professional development programs for professionals through Committee membership in the Emerging Leaders Network, participating in forensic accounting and economic damage engagements through Dispute Advisory and Forensic Insurance Recovery Practices, and contributing to anti-money laundering initiatives both regionally and nationally through membership on the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of ACAMS.

Edward A. Sturchio

Mr. Sturchio is the Global General Counsel and Secretary of Advanced Accelerator Applications S.A. (NASDAQ: AAAP).  In these roles, he is responsible for worldwide legal functions across 22 sites in 13 countries.

Mr. Sturchio is an accomplished executive and lawyer, with a deep understanding of complex legal issues and extensive background in corporate and securities, transactional and life sciences regulatory matters.  He oversees legal and non-legal colleagues and law firms around the world and works collaboratively with all levels of management to achieve business objectives.

Before joining AAA, Mr. Sturchio worked in the Corporate and Securities and Life Sciences departments of Greenberg Traurig LLP and Day Pitney LLP.  He began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable France A. Schott, J.S.C., Executive Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage.

Mr. Sturchio has written and lectured extensively in the corporate and life sciences areas.  He is a former Chair of the New Jersey Supreme Court District Ethics Committee and Co-Editor of the New Jersey State Bar Association Business Law Section Newsletter.

Mr. Sturchio received a J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.A. degree in psychology from Villanova University.  He is admitted to the bars of the State of New York, State of New Jersey and Washington D.C.
